William R. Francis, Jr., M.D., MBA
Orthopedic Spine Surgeon
Dr. William R. Francis received his Bachelor of Art in both math and psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and his Doctorate from Baylor College of Medicine. Following graduation, he was trained in both general and orthopedic surgery and completed three years of fellowship training in a variety of spinal surgery specialties, receiving certification from Harvard Medical School, Columbia University of New York and University of Toronto in Canada.
He is board certified in orthopedic surgery with more than 30 years of experience in complex spine surgery. He was involved in the orthopedic teaching program at UT and Baylor College of Medicine, helping to establish the spine fellowship training program at both institutions more than 20 years ago.
In 2003 he attended Rice University and earned a Masters of Business Administration degree finishing in 2006. Since November 2007 he has specialized in the non-surgical treatment of spinal disorders in private practice.
