Mark Asmussen

Board Certified Physician Assistant

Mark is the newest member of our group of physician assistants at the Greater Houston Neurosurgery Center. He recently relocated from west Texas in order to pursue a career in the field of neurosurgery.

In August of 2010, he received his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Midland, TX. Prior to PA school, Mark attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a minor in Chemistry.

In college he worked as a clerk in the Emergency Center at University Medical Center. It was there that he found his calling to become a Physician Assistant.

Mark is a board certified physician assistant and is credentialed by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

In his spare time Mark enjoys spending time with his wife Laura and three young boys Kolbe, Reagan, and Grant.
